The Gleaner Speyside Stages Rally as it is now known will roar into action on Saturday 11 th August – the sixth round in the County Saab Scottish Rally Championship.

Gleaner have been a stage sponsor in the past, when the opportunity of main sponsor became available Gleaner felt sponsoring this event would benefit both Gleaner and the 63 Car Club who run the event. The Speyside Stages is a very popular event and the entries come from a very wide and varied locations. Over 100 entries are expected for this years rally which has become well established and respected among the rallying fraternity. Each team consists of an average of four people, the driver, navigator and back up crew, involving over 360 people competing to finish in first place.

Supporting such an event as the Speyside Rally will give fantastic exposure for Gleaner Oils, our products, people, and depots alike. In addition Gleaner have also agreed to act as sponsor of the special stage through Cooper Park, Elgin. This is where competitors complete two laps of the town centre park. The introduction of this stage a few years ago opened up the rally to a wider audience. Last year spectators at this event were estimated between 2000-3000 people and the 63 Car Club are confident of similar spectator numbers at this years event.
